Erin has been teaching cello to students of all ages for over 20 years. Her training both as a musician and as a coach create a dynamic and nurturing environment for students. The focus in lessons is not only musical growth, but personal growth as well. Drawing from many methodologies, Erin is able to find the unique and most effective way to connect with each student. Students of all ages and skill levels are able to become successful cellists and life-long musicians.
Being a native Calgarian, Erin has been involved in the local music scene for many years. Her experience ranges from being assistant principal cellist of the Calgary Civic Symphony to providing music at private events. Erin has played in many local bands and ensembles, and is often a session musician for artists of diverse genres.
Music has and continues to be an integral part of Erin's life. Her husband, Tom, is an accomplished guitarist and their nine year-old son, Charlie is in his third year of guitar. Their house is always filled with music and evenings often end with impromptu jam sessions.
